Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT MR/R certification and preferred Epic charting experience for an evening shift assignment.

Details

  • MRI Tech unit within a Radiology/Cardiology department
  • Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings preferred
  • Performs imaging of abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
  • Special procedures include MRCP, diffusion, perfusion, peripheral MRA, and spin/T1/T2 weighted imaging
  • Uses Philips and GE MRI equipment
  • Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

  • ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification accepted, ARRT R and BLS also required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of MRI experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
  • Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and starting peripheral IVs
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Previous travel experience preferred

  • Performs a wide range of MRI procedures including brain, spine, musculoskeletal, and vascular imaging
  • Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
  • Candidates should avoid substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products, prior to arrival
  • Local candidates are not accepted and candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
