? About Facility:
o 58 licensed beds
o No Trauma Designation
o Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
? General Information:
o 1 MRI Imaging Room
o Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No, must have 2-3 years experience
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Prefer travel experience but willing to send for approval to interview with manager
? Patient Types:
o Majority will be outpatient patients (might see about 1-3 inpatients per day and sometimes no inpatient)
o Mainly adults/geriatric (rarely see peds)
o see ED patients occasionally
? Patients seen in a day:
o On average, 7-11 patients seen in the department per day
? Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o ARRT(R) and ARRT(MR)
o BLS
? Skills required:
o Confident of their general MRI clinical skills and people skills (population tends to be more geriatric and some behavioral health patients, so would appreciate patience with them)
? Support on the Unit:
o Charge nurse/Lead Tech: Lead tech and manager present
o Tech assistant when staffing allows
? Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o PACS experience (no specific one is necessary)
o GE machine
? Floating: If yes, where?
o Possibility to help with X-rays if they have experience and are comfortable, but not required.
o Expectation to help lift patients within the department if traveler is not busy
? Orientation:
o Hospital orientation
o Full week with another MRI Tech for training
o Department does not leave travelers unattended first two weeks to ensure comfort within the role
? Scheduling:
o Schedule/Shift Times: M-F 7:30-4pm; no weekends
o On call? If so, what is that schedule? No
o Holiday Expectations: possibility of working 1 holiday and hours would be the same
o RTO: full approval by manager she also asks their RTO on second round interview
o Schedule cycle: released every 6 weeks
