Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT MR/R certification for a role in a Level IV Trauma Center.

Details

  • Short-term acute care, Level IV Trauma Center setting
  • MRI unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
  • Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM) or Night shift (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
  • Weekend coverage required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating between units required at the primary facility, though floating between sister facilities in the state may be expected
  • Epic charting system used
  • GE and Philips MRI equipment with PACS
  • Performs imaging of abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, brain, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
  • Special procedures include diffusion imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MPR, peripheral MRA, and surface coil imaging
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and starts peripheral IVs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Prior travel assignment experience required
  • ARRT MR certification required (ARRT R also acceptable), BLS required
  • Compact license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Skills in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging required
  • Experience with diffusion imaging, MIP, MPR, and peripheral MRA preferred
  • Endo (liver) imaging experience preferred
  • Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts required

Additional Information

  • Scrubs may be any color, or business casual attire is acceptable
  • No parking fees at this facility
  • Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
  • Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
  • Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Candidates within a 50-mile radius may be considered at a lower bill rate
  • Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the state
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role given the travel experience requirement
