Performs assigned supervisory functions. Maintains the standards of ARRT. Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers. Explains procedures and provides education and instruction to patients as appropriate. Adheres to MRI safety standards. Performs all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies and administration of contrast media utilizing age-related technical and positioning protocols and safety procedures according to department policy. Assists radiologists with MR procedures as requested. Evaluates MRI images for technical quality. Operates and maintains MRI and associated equipment and supplies. Performs equipment warm-up, calibration, and safety checks. Operates the hospital computer system. Reports any equipment malfunctions to a supervisor. Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines for quality control.
