Job Description
The role primarily focuses on caring for postpartum, newborn, and antepartum patients, with responsibilities that include floating to Labor & Delivery to support LDRP needs. This position requires a strong foundation in antepartum and postpartum care, along with the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to postpartum and antepartum patients.
- Perform newborn assessments and support breastfeeding and lactation.
- Assist with circumcision care and infant identification protocols.
- Manage postpartum complications including hemorrhage and pain assessment.
- Support and educate families regarding discharge planning and care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in cross-training for labor and delivery as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, including acute care nursing.
- Must possess an active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification) required at the time of submission.
- Previous travel nursing experience is necessary.
- Experience in antepartum and EFM preferred.
