Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Mother-Baby / Postpartum – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Santa Monica, California – beachside acute care hospital

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 13-week assignment through November 30, 2026

Highlights:

• Work at a 266-bed acute care hospital in a beautiful beachside location
• Mother-Baby/Postpartum unit utilizing Epic charting system
• Comprehensive orientation provided (40 hours)
• Local candidates accepted; flexibility to float between facilities within the state
• Opportunity to work with a full range of postpartum and newborn care cases

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of Mother-Baby/Postpartum nursing experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• LA County Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days
• Epic or comparable charting system experience required
• Proficiency in postpartum care, newborn assessment, discharge teaching, breastfeeding support, and management of postpartum complications including hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension
• Experience with both vaginal delivery and cesarean section recovery care
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
