PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois.

Registered Nurse - ICU | Travel |

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the MICU, currently functioning as the COVID unit. Ideal candidates should be experienced with critical care processes like interpreting EKG strips and ventilator management, and proficient in advanced vasopressor titration.

Assignment Details

  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7-7:30 am/pm)
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2430 (negotiable)
  • Work Modality: On-site
  • Location: In-house Intensivist during the day, telemedicine support at night
  • Floating: Travelers float first to lower levels of care when necessary
  • Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Interpret EKG strips and manage arterial and central lines
  • Care for ventilated patients and titrate vasoactive and cardioactive drugs
  • Work collaboratively with Intensivists and telemedicine support
  • Read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillip monitors

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or pending application
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
  • Experience with EKG interpretation, arterial, and central line management
  • Proficiency in vasopressor titration
  • Negative drug screen
