Description
Bestica is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.
Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill MICU patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKGs.
- Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
- Manage ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and respiratory emergencies.
- Manage arterial and central lines, IV therapy, and blood products.
- Provide care for patients requiring CRRT/CVVHD, ECMO, and advanced cardiac support.
- Administer medications, sedation, paralytics, and emergency treatments.
- Monitor neurological, renal, cardiovascular, and respiratory status.
- Follow isolation, safety, and infection-control protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records.
Requirements
- MICU/Medical ICU experience.
- Strong critical-care assessment and clinical judgment skills.
- Experience managing high-acuity and multisystem organ failure patients.
- EPIC experience required.
- Ability to manage ventilated patients and titrate critical-care drips.
- Experience with IV starts, central/arterial lines, and blood product administration.
- Ability to manage emergency and rapidly changing patient conditions.
