Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent MICU, ICU, or equivalent critical care RN experience
  • Current acute care experience must be consistent within the last 12 months
  • Prior travel nurse experience required
  • Active RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical record charting required
  • Strong skills in ventilator management, IV starts, arterial line care, and central line management
  • Ability to care for hemodynamically unstable patients with complex medical needs
  • ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing education preferred
  • Two professional references required, including one from a manager, director, supervisor, or charge RN

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality critical care nursing to adults and geriatric patients with complex diagnoses
  • Monitor and manage patients with sepsis, ARDS, COPD, pulmonary hypertension, and oncologic emergencies
  • Deliver advanced ICU interventions including mechanical ventilation support, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, and cardiac monitoring
  • Assist with central venous catheter care, chest tubes, chemotherapy administration, and complex medication regimens
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely charting in Epic
  • Support safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced medical intensive care unit with a strong focus on teamwork and clinical excellence
