  • Orientation: 36 hours
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940-$2,040
  • Weekend Requirement: Minimum every other weekend
  • Floating: Required across equivalent or lower-acuity units as needed

ICU RN Job Requirements

  • Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage ventilators, telemetry, IV starts, and critical care drips
  • Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Float to a variety of ICU and critical care settings based on staffing and patient needs
  • Provide high-acuity nursing care for adult patients with complex medical and surgical conditions
  • Monitor patient status and respond to changes using evidence-based critical care practices
  • Support patients requiring ventilator management, telemetry monitoring, and arterial line monitoring
  • Administer and titrate vasoactive, cardiac, and sedation infusions as appropriate
  • Assist with procedures and specialized interventions in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other clinical teams
  • Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining flexibility across multiple ICU units
