Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the MICU specialty
• Current MICU experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong critical care experience with vents and IV starts
• Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor-level reference
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults and older adults with complex medical and oncologic conditions
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, hemodynamic instability, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Administer and titrate IV medications, including vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Support advanced critical care procedures such as CRRT, arterial line management, central line care, and chest tube management
• Interpret dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases, and other critical data to guide patient care
• Maintain accurate computerized documentation in Epic electronic health records (EHR)
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality care
• Follow infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety protocols at all times
