Join a leading acute-care hospital as a dedicated MICU Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). With a focus on patient-centered care, you will be part of a team committed to excellence in healthcare.

Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) with a rotating schedule every 4 weeks.

Estimated Patient Ratios: 1:1-2

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience. EPIC experience is required.

Certifications Required:

  • BCLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • AHA Certifications only

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in IV start
  • Experience with telemetry
  • Competency with ventilators

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous travel nursing experience
  • Proficiency in EPIC documentation system

Specialized Experience in:

  • Multisystem Organ Failure
  • Respiratory Failure
  • COVID
  • Sepsis
  • Post-Cardiac Arrest
  • Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
  • Liver Failure
  • Renal Failure

Special Procedures/Unit Details:

  • Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia
  • Externalized IV Pumps for COVID+ Patients

Special Equipment Knowledge:

  • NxStage CRRT
  • Alaris IV Pump
  • GE Cardiac Monitor
  • GE Ventilator
  • Boom Lift in Each Patient Room
