Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or compact license in hand at submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care environment
• Comfortable caring for patients with complex respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, and multisystem needs
• Willingness to float when needed and work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside nursing care to critically ill ICU patients with a variety of complex diagnoses
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, including noninvasive and mechanical ventilation
• Perform and assist with advanced ICU procedures such as central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, intubation support, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as ordered and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Interpret dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases, and other key clinical data to guide patient care
• Support emergency interventions, including code situations and rapid response needs
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team to provide safe, effective, compassionate care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold strong infection prevention and patient safety practices
• Adapt to fluctuating patient ratios and be prepared to float as needed
