Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of current acute care experience in MICU or a closely related critical care setting
- Recent, consistent specialty experience within the last 12 months
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Epic charting experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing education preferred
- Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or other formal leader
- RTO must be submitted with application
MICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with complex critical care needs
- Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, COPD, pneumonia, GI bleed, and other high-acuity diagnoses
- Support advanced ICU therapies including mechanical ventilation, CRRT, pulmonary artery catheter placement, and arterial line monitoring
- Administer and titrate complex medications, vasoactive drips, and cardiac drips as indicated
- Perform IV starts, central line care, chest tube management, and other critical care interventions
- Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality healthcare and patient care
- Respond quickly to changing patient conditions in a fast-paced intensive care unit environment
