Key Responsibilities of the Medical Lab Scientist- Perform daily maintenance, quality control, and calibrations on laboratory analyzers
- Conduct waived and non-waived patient testing
- Process specimens, including ordering tests and preparing samples for transport
- Manage laboratory supplies and ensure clean lab surfaces
- Collaborate professionally with lab and non-lab personnel
- Assist with clerical duties as directed by the Nursing and Lab Director
Requirements of the Medical Lab Scientist- Full MLS or MLT certification through ASCP (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a Hospital Laboratory environment
- Experience with EPIC EMR and listed laboratory analyzers beneficial
