Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse in Iowa City, Iowa. This position involves providing comprehensive medical-surgical care with telemetry monitoring across all hospital campuses. Job Details
- Position Description: Med Surg / Med Surg Tele Nurse responsible for caring for a variety of patient types with a patient ratio of 4-5:1. The role involves telemetry monitoring, heparin drips, and electronic fetal heart monitorin.
- Required Qualifications: Active Iowa or Iowa multi-state license, Basic Life Support certification, at least 24 months of recent Med Surg / Med Surg Tele experience, proficiency in caring for all patient types, experience with Heparin, and skills in telemetry/cardiac care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Recent experience with CHARGE or PRECEPT programs, knowledge of EPIC electronic medical records, and a background in telemetry/cardiac nursing.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have 24 months of current Med Surg / Med Surg Tele experience, a professional reference or evaluation within the past 24 months, and a valid drivers license.
- Additional Information: Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months; no first-time travelers accepted. Orientation dates are scheduled for 11/9, 11/23, 12/7, and 12/21.
