Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry. This position provides acute care nursing for adult patients with orthopedic trauma, vascular, urologic, neurologic, spine, gynecologic oncology, and medical conditions. The role includes telemetry-supported care, prescribed infusion titration, respiratory support monitoring, and collaboration with nursing and respiratory therapy teams.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); active nursing license eligible for submission; minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Provides care for patients with fractures, joint replacements, vascular procedures, wound care needs, urologic procedures, continuous bladder irrigation, spine procedures, acute medical conditions, and gynecologic oncology diagnoses. Nurses may titrate heparin and other prescribed infusions according to established protocols. The unit has continuous telemetry monitoring, nursing assistant support, respiratory therapy support, and access to continuous positive airway pressure, bilevel positive airway pressure, and high-flow oxygen therapy; ventilator management is not required. Weekend and holiday coverage is required every other occurrence. Orientation includes computer training and precepted floor orientation.
