Job Details
- Location: Lewiston, ME
- Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM 7:15 AM, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIH certification with Cerner experience, 2-3 years of experience in telemetry, cardiac drips with titration, management and interpretation of dysrhythmias, and experience with post-occlusion care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke, CHF, A-fib, arrhythmias, and cardiaccaths/stents.
- Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer and titrate cardiac drips, and interpret EKGs. Maintain patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital protocols.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: All float staff assist in emergency room settings as needed. Equipment utilized includes Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable hoyerlifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and EKG machines. Electronic health records are managed via Omnicell and EPIC. The role involves caring for a diverse patient population including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients.
