Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry, Washington Courthouse, Ohio provides direct patient care across therapy-level to Progressive Care Unit (PCU)-level patients. The role involves individualized care planning, clinical assessment, treatment and medication administration, patient education, discharge planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams. The position supports patient safety, quality outcomes, and professional nursing standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; every other weekend; no call or holidays.
- Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; 3+ years of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills; ability to provide patient-centered care, manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC and Pyxis; Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training. Training may be provided.
- Additional Information: Provides care for patients ranging from therapy level to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or flexed to 1:6. Responsibilities include supervising and delegating appropriate nursing tasks, maintaining accountability for patient care, protecting patient confidentiality, and complying with applicable nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
