Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position is available in a healthcare facility located in Wisconsin. This role involves providing advanced inpatient nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex disease processes, including leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumor cancers. The RN will participate in cutting-edge therapies, research studies, and quality improvement initiatives on a specialized inpatient unit.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 12-hour shifts, from 0700 to 1930, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC), EPIC Electronic Medical Record system experience, 3+ years recent experience in Heme/ONC/BMT, level 1 trauma or similar size hospital.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge duties, patient ratio experience of 3-4 patients, community hospital experience, LTAC experience, trauma level II experience, travel experience.
- Responsibilities: Administer chemotherapy, assist with stem cell transplant procedures, blood product administration, central line and port access, perform comprehensive assessments, participate in research and quality improvement, ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
- Certifications and Skills: Active RN license, BLS, Chemo certification, proficiency in accessing/ managing ports, chemotherapy administration, blood and blood product management, care of ports and central lines, and management of complex oncologic conditions.
- Additional Information: Traveler will be required to pass telemetry testing with a strict passing score within two attempts; a telemetry exam covering lethal rhythms and heart block questions is required prior to start. The candidate must meet the minimum experience in inpatient RN care within the last 3 years.
