Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position is located in a high-acuity critical care environment within a dedicated unit. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care on nights, with a focus on cardiac and telemetry patients, and requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established team in a teaching hospital setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active compact license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and a minimum of 2 years in Cardiac/Telemetry experience including at least 1 travel assignment. Recent Electronic Health Record (EPIC) charting experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma level II experience is preferred.
- Float: First to float within skillset; potential to float to nearby campuses with 2 hours' notice.

- Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Hardworking, resilient, and adaptable social candidates preferred.
- No Covid-19 vaccination required at this time.
- Unit comprises 41 beds with variable nurse-to-patient ratios depending on day or night shift.
- May include precepting duties for students and new-hires.
- The assignment begins on 11/02/2026 and concludes on 01/31/2027.
- Daily interviews are available from Monday through Friday.
