Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves working nights in a highly-rated acute care facility with a patient population primarily consisting of adults and geriatrics. The position requires providing quality care on telemetry units, with potential assignment to one of several specialized inpatient units. The facility emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Two years of recent hospital acute medical-surgical experience; BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS can be obtained after offer); must have EPIC electronic medical record experience within the last year; active license to practice as a registered nurse; must provide a supervisor reference from the most recent/current assignment; non-credentialed references such as charge nurse references are not accepted.
- Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry experience; previous teaching facility experience highly preferred; strong IV skills.
- Float: First to float and must be willing to float across assigned units, which include Telemetry, Stepdown, and ICU.
- Additional Information:
- Work in a facility with 384 beds, including 35 medical-surgical beds.
- Care setting is acute, with a trauma level 3 designation.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios approximately 1:5-6.
- Patient types include post-operative cardiac catheterizations, chest pain, COPD, cardiac dysrhythmias, CHF, and various medical-surgical diagnoses.
- Cancellation policy allows one shift off every 14 days.
- Minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period (Saturday/Sunday).
- Holidays and other coverage based on facility needs.
- Ultrasound skills are a plus but not required.
- Responsible for charting within the EPIC system.
