Job Details
- Position Description: The traveler will contribute professional and clinical knowledge to the care and management of patients in a general medical/surgical setting, with a focus on telemetry monitoring.
- Required Qualifications: Active Iowa or Iowa Compact Nursing License, BLS (American Heart Association preferred, ARC or US Military certificates accepted), NIHSS certification, Drivers License, 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience, experience requirement: 0 years, Scheduled for nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: First-time traveler acceptance, experience with post-op care including prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgeries, thyroidectomy, etc.
- Additional Information: The candidate may be asked to float across local campuses within the same discipline. The unit handles diverse surgical cases, administering medications such as Heparin, and caring for postoperative patients. Successful submission requires a comprehensive skills checklist specific to the Med Surg/Tele discipline, a supervisory reference within the last two years, and active relevant state licensure.
