Travel RN opportunity in Greensboro, North Carolina: join a Med/Surg Tele team caring for adult and geriatric patients on steady 12-hour night shifts in a well-supported, community-focused hospital setting.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
• Employment Type: Travel assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend; holidays as needed
• Setting: Medical-surgical telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome
• Active North Carolina RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS required
• ACLS and NIHSS required for this assignment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Ability to work flexibly and support floating as needed
• Comfort with adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias as part of routine patient care
• Care for patients with observation needs, respiratory conditions, diabetes, surgical recovery, psychiatric observation, and palliative/end-of-life needs
• Perform routine assessments, vital signs, admission monitoring, and shift documentation in Epic
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and manage lines, drains, and oxygen therapy
• Support safe care for stable patients requiring telemetry and general medical-surgical management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered outcomes
• Float to other units or locations as needed based on patient care demands
