• Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, holidays as needed
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Float Requirement: Travelers may be floated as needed across affiliated campuses
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred for this med-surg telemetry RN role
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS required
• Epic experience required
• Ability to pass an EKG exam during onboarding
• Ability to care for stable medical-surgical patients with telemetry needs
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and dependable attendance expected
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric med-surg telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with observation needs, respiratory issues, diabetes, surgical recovery needs, and palliative or hospice diagnoses
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including compatible drips and routine infusions
• Perform routine assessments, vital signs, and timely documentation in Epic
• Support wound care, line management, oxygen therapy, and other common medical-surgical nursing interventions
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective patient care
• Maintain flexibility to float when needed and assist with unit coverage across affiliated campuses
• Deliver professional, compassionate care while maintaining strong clinical standards
