Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) is sought for a healthcare facility location in Waterloo, Iowa. This position involves providing high-quality patient care across medical surgical units with telemetry monitoring. The role requires a commitment to safe and efficient patient management within a busy hospital setting, following established clinical protocols and standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience; Ability to read EKG/ECG including rhythm strips and dysrhythmia interpretation; Iowa license or multistate licensure; Active certification in BLS and ACLS from AHA or ARC; Valid drivers license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-operative surgical care including EGD, colonoscopy, Cardiac Catheterization, Pacemaker implantation; Experience with Drips and Titrates such as heparin, insulin, diuretic infusions, amiodarone, diltiazem, 3% saline infusion; Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system; Private or comprehensive health insurance coverage.
- Float: Will float across medical surgical units including post-op.
- Additional Information: Orientation scheduled for 09/08/2026. Must be able to confidently manage telemedicine duties, including rhythm interpretation and responding to telemetry alerts. No first-time travelers; candidates must have completed a travel assignment within the past 12 months. Ancillary role only; no local RNs within 50 miles allowed.
