Job Details:
- Position Description: The nurse practices with independence, practicing in similar clinical settings, and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of each situation. Responsibilities include providing routine and complex care, making appropriate assignments, and delegating to care providers to help manage clinical situations.
- Responsibilities: Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitors for side effects, documents patient history and care, and assesses learning needs to provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only), current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association only), RN license in the state of Texas or a compact license, minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of employment. New hires will be precepted by trained staff, complete onboarding requirements, and validate competency through designated organizational processes. Completion of yearly competency requirements is also required.
