Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurses are needed in a healthcare facility located in Waco, Texas. This role involves providing direct patient care within a 29-bed Medical Surgical unit that includes some cardiac population and telemetry. The position requires assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring patient care while coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 1 year of acute care RN experience, including recent experience in Medical Surgical and telemetry settings; location in or near Waco, Texas
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a telemetry or cardiac unit; certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is highly desirable
• Additional Information: Nurses will serve as primary coordinators of patient care, ensuring adherence to physician and nursing orders. Critical thinking and decisive judgment are essential due to the fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. The unit utilizes Epic charting and requires Navy or maroon scrubs.
