Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with prior travel nursing experience for a night shift position requiring an active SC or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a short-term acute care hospital with 97 staffed beds
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 schedules available (7p-7a)
• Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including between like units or sister facilities
• Uses Epic charting system
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact license required in hand prior to start
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Tele unit setting
• Must complete all assigned training modules prior to start date, typically requiring about 4 hours
• Attendance at staff meetings is required
• A virtual interview is required for all candidates
• Local candidates within 60 miles will be considered
• Previous per diem or permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a travel employee
• During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Block scheduling accommodations may be requested but are not guaranteed
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
