Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor. The Clinical Nurse provides competent nursing care in a hospital setting while coordinating and delivering patient care through the nursing process. The role involves caring for patients with complex needs, supporting patient and family education, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and promoting safe, high-quality care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
- At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience.
- Previous neurology experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Remote telemetry experience.
- Additional Information:
- Provides clinical nursing care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
- Performs patient assessment, bedside point-of-care testing, patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination.
- Develops and updates individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary resources.
- Prioritizes care, communicates relevant patient information, and supports continuity of care.
- Participates in performance improvement activities, professional development, and unit goal achievement.
- Applies nursing standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to promote a safe care environment.
- Assignment dates are 11/23/2026 through 02/20/2027.
