TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana.

Unit: MedSurg 5100 — 41 beds
Weekly hours: 36; 48 available upon request

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of strong MedSurg experience, 1 completed travel assignment, and Level II trauma experience
  • Active compact RN license
  • AHA BLS and NIHSS
  • Recent Epic experience; checkoff class required
  • Remote telemetry, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, urinary catheters, ostomies, heparin drips, blood administration, trach care, and PCA management
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability

Schedule and patient care

  • Patients: Postsurgical patients, UTI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall risk
  • Ratios: Days 1:4–5; nights 1:6–7
  • Weekends: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule
  • Holidays: Every other holiday
  • On-call: None listed
