• Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation, including Christmas and New Year's Eve night coverage as scheduled
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic experience within the past 12 months required
• Call: No on-call or callback requirement
• Scrubs: Any color

Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in a short-term acute-care hospital
• Recent oncology nursing experience required
• At least one prior short-term travel nursing contract preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Associate degree or nursing certificate
• Strong clinical documentation skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Adaptability, resilience, and willingness to float to other units or nearby facilities based on census and within clinical competency

Med/Surg Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including those with oncology-related diagnoses.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring for changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in Epic.
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout each shift.
• Float to other appropriate units or facilities when needed while practicing within established clinical competencies.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled.
