Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Floor. The position provides patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced environment serving post-surgical patients and individuals with diverse medical conditions, trauma, strokes, and inpatient hospice needs. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and positive patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Registered Nurse qualification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Michigan nursing license
- Level I or Level II trauma experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel nursing experience
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care for post-surgical patients and individuals with diverse medical conditions, trauma, strokes, and inpatient hospice needs.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care based on physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments.
- Uses clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication to support quality care and positive outcomes.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team and demonstrates effective collegial communication.
- Supports a patient-centered environment focused on safety, teamwork, evidence-based practice, and holistic care.
- Participates in ongoing professional learning, knowledge sharing, clinical support, and role modeling.
- An annual skills checklist is required for Registered Nurse specialties.
