Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) in an acute care setting located in the area. This position involves providing nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including congestive heart failure, diabetes, end-of-life care, and heart failure, with some telemetry monitoring required. The role requires working 12-hour night shifts, with scheduled weekends and holidays per operational policy.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 09/28/2026 through 01/11/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois (IL) license or confirmation that an application process has been initiated, BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, NIHSS certification, 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry, ability to monitor telemetery equipment, and familiarity with electronic charting systems such as EPIC.
- Float: Float to 4 West (Medical Surgical) and occasionally ICU for general overflow patients may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Local rate applies to clinicians residing within 50 miles.
- Orientation includes two shifts, typically, with consideration for three.
- RN travelers are required to work every other weekend and holiday shifts as specified.
- Nurse staff works with a charge nurse on each shift, and nurse aides or patient care techs support staffing as per patient census.
- The unit utilizes Space Lab brand monitors for telemetry.
