Join a leading healthcare facility as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) in Dothan, AL. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals looking to make a difference in patient care.

As a Med Surg RN, you will be required to have at least 2 years of experience, with a strong background in high acuity nursing. You will be working with patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7, and proficiency with insulin and heparin drips is essential. This role is within a Urology Unit, and while peritoneal dialysis experience is not required, it is considered a plus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Additional details:

• Orientation occurs every other Monday, with contracts ending on a Tuesday due to the facility's pay period.
• New travelers are welcome to apply.
• Block booking is available, except on holidays, with every other weekend required.
• BLS and NIH certifications are required.
• All RNs must be comfortable with high acuity and patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7.
• COVID vaccination is required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is provided.
• A flu shot is also required, or a documented exemption must be submitted.
• Scrub colors: all navy or navy pants with a white top.
