The role involves managing post-operative patients, those with chronic conditions, and pediatric cases, utilizing Epic (Electronic Medical Records) systems, in a fast-paced acute care environment.

  • Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, with weekends as scheduled, extra shifts may be available; shifts begin between 6:45 and 7:15 am, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certifications; minimum two years of experience in medical-surgical nursing; valid license to practice in the state; experience with Epic electronic health record system; ability to read and interpret monitors and strips; strong medication administration skills; must be able to work independently within a team environment
  • Preferred Qualifications: PALS and ACLS certifications; experience managing a variety of acute and post-operative patients including pediatric cases; proficiency with Cpap, Bipap, high flow, and vents; excellent communication skills; ability to float to other units as needed
