Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York
• At least 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Skills checklist matching the Med/Surg specialty
• Resume must clearly document relevant inpatient nursing experience
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments as needed
• Valid driver’s license with matching demographics information

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult Med/Surg patients
• Manage common post-surgical diagnoses and recovery needs
• Monitor and support patients with conditions such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric-related care
• Perform nursing care using specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
• Adapt quickly to unit needs and float when required
• Deliver professional, patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment
