Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a day shift contract requiring 2 years of acute care experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

  • Medical Surgical Specialties unit
  • Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00, variable days of the week
  • Patient ratio of 1:5 which may flex up based on staffing needs
  • Weekend shifts required per unit needs
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating to like units and sister facilities within the metro region required per facility needs, with travelers floated first
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

  • Active CO or compact RN license required
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Skills required: cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, respiratory care including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management

Additional Information

  • Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates may be subject to eligibility review
  • Candidates who have applied to UCHealth's internal travel or perm positions within the last two years will not be considered
  • Resources who completed a full year on assignment with UCHealth are not eligible for rebooking for at least one year
  • Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with RTO restricted during specific blackout periods in 2026-2027
  • No blocked scheduling requests allowed
  • Completion of all facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
  • Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
