Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an active MI RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit, including a 10-bed ER overflow observation unit
  • Observation unit focuses on constant reassessment of patient readiness for discharge amid rapid admissions and discharges
  • Observation unit ratios are 1:6 at night and 1:5 during the day
  • Other Med/Surg units care for a variety of medical patients with ratios of 1:5-6 at night, flexing up to 8 with LPN support
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • First to float, with floating required to other Med Surg units
  • Works alongside a variety of staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs

Requirements

  • Active Michigan RN license required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required
  • Must be willing to work with a variety of staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs

Additional Information

  • Travel experience highly preferred, though candidates with strong permanent experience may be considered
  • Holiday RTO is not approved for this assignment
  • Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed at this time
  • Local candidates within 50 miles may be offered a different pay rate
