• Setting: Mixed-acuity PCU environment with adult and geriatric surgical patients

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• 2+ years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with similar adult and geriatric patient populations preferred
• Previous charge RN experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC and Pyxis preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts and support weekend coverage
• Must be comfortable floating within the organization as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care for adults and geriatrics in a progressive care setting
• Care for patients recovering from burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial procedures
• Manage specialized interventions such as burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
• Administer and monitor complex treatments including arterial lines, central lines, IV insulin protocols, and blood product administration
• Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias while supporting safe, timely escalation of care
• Perform wound care, manage surgical drains, and support respiratory and medication therapy needs
• Float to other units within the organization as needed to meet patient care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
