Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring NM or compact RN license and floating to like units as needed.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 or 48 hour scheduling options available
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating required to like units within scope as needed
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and oxygen administration
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Cardiac monitoring skills including telemetry and rapid response team utilization
• Renal and orthopedic care experience including pre/post hemodialysis management and total joint replacement care

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a Med/Surg population including cardiac, renal, respiratory, and orthopedic cases
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as locals are not accepted
