Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor nursing position in an acute care setting. The role provides patient care on a 41-bed unit with a typical patient-to-nurse ratio of 56:1. The schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts, with weekend and holiday coverage as assigned.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; required professional license for submission; influenza vaccination or approved medical exemption; at least 2 years of experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Acute care assignment on a 41-bed medical-surgical unit with typical patient-to-nurse ratios of 56:1. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Holiday coverage is generally required every other holiday unless greater unit needs require additional coverage. Staff may be reassigned first when another unit has a greater patient-care need.
