Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Farmington, New Mexico. This role involves providing care on a 24-bed Nephrology/Med/Surg unit within a level III trauma center. The position offers a day shift with scheduled hours and requires delivering quality patient care to geriatric and adult populations, managing common diagnoses such as ESRD, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Hemodialysis. The assignment supports ongoing professional development and clinical excellence in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Schedule: Days, 0700 - 1930, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) provider through the American Heart Association (AHA); ADN degree; minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience; location in the United States; specialized skills in Med/Surg nursing; experience with geriatric and adult patient care.
Preferred Qualifications: Charge Nurse experience; Nephrology specialty experience; familiarity with ESRD, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Hemodialysis; 2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
Additional Information: The unit features 24 beds with patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6. Equipment used includes VS machines, bladder scanners, lifts, thermal imaging, and IV pumps/tubes. The Electronic Health Record system is Cerner.
