Job Summary
Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Floor. The position provides independent and delegated nursing care, including patient assessment, care planning, health teaching, treatment, referrals, and ongoing evaluation of patient health status. The role also requires accurate documentation, collaboration within the scope of competency, and adherence to applicable nursing practice standards.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree; certifications appropriate to the assigned unit or service.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, including two night shifts and one day shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care; collecting and evaluating health data; providing health teaching and counseling; delivering supportive and restorative therapy; executing delegated medical functions; referring patients for further evaluation or treatment; monitoring therapy and treatment plans; and documenting care in accordance with regulatory guidelines. On-call coverage may be required during a regularly scheduled shift.
