Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) at a healthcare organization is seeking qualified nurses for day shifts. The position involves providing comprehensive patient care to individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, cardiac cath, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedics, and oncology. The role requires collaboration with the medical team within a fast-paced acute care setting, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; valid nursing license; ability to work day shifts and weekends; must include a copy of unexpired drivers license with submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic charting system; experience managing patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions; ability to interpret EKG strips and read monitor strips; experience in acute care or medical-surgical units.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, based on organizational needs.
• Additional Information:
  • All submissions must include a copy of the candidates unexpired drivers license.
  • Candidates must be able to work in a unit that handles complex patient conditions with potential for vent management, CPAP, and BiPAP.
  • The position includes holiday work within the rotating schedule and every-other-weekend shifts.
  • The manager is open to requests to work primarily on the designated unit if requested.
