Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse, located in southeastern Washington, is responsible for providing direct patient care in a busy Med Surg unit. The role involves managing geriatric and adult patient populations, with a focus on cardiac monitoring, respiratory assessment, and medication titration.
Job Details
- Position Description: No block schedules. Covering a Medical Surgical Floor in a hospital setting, the role requires caring for geriatric and adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiac, GI, and post-procedural care.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), completion of training in rhythm interpretation or ACLS, Associates or Bachelors Degree, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, located in southeastern Washington, and active licensure as an RN.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/26/2026 to 01/25/2027.
- Additional Information: Managing patient ratios of 1:4 with accommodations for higher acuity, utilizing electronic health records via Paragon (McKesson); caring for geriatric and adult populations with common diagnoses such as ETOH detox, Post PCI, DKA/HHS, and respiratory treatments including BIPAP.
