Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position requiring 1+ year of experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and floating to Telemetry units.

Details

  • Work on a general Medical Surgical floor within a hospital setting
  • Float to Telemetry units and affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
  • Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 14-week assignment length
  • Expected to work 3 of 5 Winter holidays

Requirements

  • Active RN license (KY State or Compact) required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring
  • Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
  • Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
  • At least one professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, including respiratory care and telemetry monitoring when floating
  • Travel experience is preferred but not required, and first-time travelers will be considered
  • Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
  • Previous UK-affiliated staff must have a 6-month gap in employment before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration, as later requests will not be approved
