Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Sioux City, Iowa. This position involves providing clinical care within the interdisciplinary team, contributing professional knowledge to support patient recovery and well-being. The role offers flexibility to float across local campuses within the same discipline, ensuring comprehensive patient care and operational support.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Nights
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Iowa state nursing license, at least 2 years of medical surgical experience, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, Epic EMR experience, one supervisory reference, work history/resume required, skills checklist completed within 1 year, license verification required, copy of required certifications, drivers license required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Heparin dip experience, previous experience in a trauma center preferred.
- Additional Information: Traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The assignment will require working 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). The onboarding schedule includes an orientation starting on 06/08 and 06/21. The candidate must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, except in Madison, where local candidates are accepted with a 10% rate reduction.
