Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Up to 26 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during night shift hours
• Manage a patient population including diagnoses such as Pneumonia, Heart Failure, GI Bleed, DKA, AMS, and Sepsis
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 on nights; charge nurses carry a patient assignment when staffing requires
• Float as needed to like Medical Surgical departments
• Fulfill every-other-weekend scheduling requirement
• Complete non-billable orientation modules as assigned; modules are self-reported and completed annually

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Registered Nurse license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; at least 1 year must be in Medical Surgical
• Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Supervisor-level references required
• Flu vaccination documentation required; exemption requests must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
• Locals are welcome and accepted; no radius restrictions (note: a local rate may apply for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility — see applicable rate details)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for complex medical patients including Sepsis, DKA, and Heart Failure
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Ability to adapt to variable staffing and float to like Medical Surgical units as needed
