Job Details Position: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit / Progressive Care Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week Duration: 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,860 Orientation: 24 hours Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6, varying by acuity Charting System: Epic Location: Wilmington, NC 28401 Job Requirements Current RN license in North Carolina or a compact state; pending license may be considered for submission Minimum of 2 years of cardiac telemetry, cardiac stepdown, or cardiac floor nursing experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification required Experience in telemetry nursing, progressive care, or monitored acute care environments Ability to interpret telemetry rhythms and manage dysrhythmias confidently Experience with post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and cardiac drip management Must pass EKG testing prior to start Open to floating within or near the facility as needed Willingness to work scheduled weekends and provide flexible support when needed Strong communication skills and readiness to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team Responsibilities Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a cardiac telemetry unit Monitor telemetry rhythms, recognize changes promptly, and respond appropriately to cardiac events Provide care for patients with atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, cardiomyopathy, vascular disease, and related diagnoses Support patients undergoing CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, pacemaker placement, VATS, carotid endarterectomy, and other cardiovascular or thoracic procedures Manage cardiac drips without titration when directed and assist with titrated therapies per unit protocol Perform sheath removal, sheath management, and post-procedure monitoring as needed Assist with chest tube care, non-invasive airway support, and other advanced bedside interventions Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, and other support services Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach while adapting to a high-acuity, fast-moving healthcare environment Why This Travel Nursing Job?
